A quick tip to get the dust out of our blog
If you hear the fan of your computer going way up, most likely that was because some application or process is using too much CPU. Find out which one and terminate it by:
1. Open the terminal
2. Run “top”
3. Press “k” and the number on “pid” column of the process which appears on the top of the list.

Nice! I’m using Ubuntu Lucid Lynx. That’s helpful.
htop is better than top
Of course htop is included in every good distros repositories.
For info: http://htop.sourceforge.net/
The Linux OS seems to be more difficult to understand. This can be a real advantage because you will have a lot of knowledge compared with others.
This process can be terminated if you use the Linux console. I believe this is the optimal solution for a process like this one.
